Host / Hostess (m/w/d)

Slowness is a collective of people, places and projects that reframe the way we live, work and interact. Drawing insights from regenerative agriculture, adaptive reuse and the slow movement, Slowness is currently developing places around the world that offer a deeper, conscious and collaborative form of hospitality.

As part of our vision to own, develop, and operate destinations within creative hubs, we are actively working on several projects—our most ambitious being the Flussbad Campus—a home for adventurous culture & ideas in Berlin. This evolving campus began its phased opening in 2023 with the opening of Reethaus, and will continue to grow over the coming year to include hotel accommodations, working lofts, a restaurant, an auditorium for dialogue and learning, and a comprehensive holistic health program woven throughout the site.

Reethaus—a semi-subterranean performance space—is a cornerstone of the Flussbad Campus. Envisioned as a modern-day temple, it integrates a 360-degree spatial sound system to support immersive installations, body-mind practices, creative expression, and holistic learning. As the campus expands, Reethaus sets the tone for a dynamic intersection of art, hospitality, and cultural innovation deeply inspired by Berlin's creative spirit.

Aufgaben

We are looking for warm, attentive, and well-organized individuals with a passion for hospitality. As a Host/Hostess, you will help set the tone for our guests' experience, ensuring a welcoming, smooth, and engaging atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly at the entrance and guide them through the Reethaus experience.
• Explain the concept of the venue, including its cultural and artistic programming.
• Manage the guest list and check-in process, ensuring seamless entry.
• Assist guests with coat check and wardrobe services, maintaining an organized system.
• Provide directions and general assistance to guests throughout the venue.
• Monitor the flow of guests to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
• Collaborate with the Event Operations Manager, servers, and security staff to ensure smooth event execution.
• Handle basic inquiries and special requests with professionalism and efficiency.
• Maintain a tidy and organized entrance area, wardrobe, and host station.

Qualifikation

• Previous experience in hospitality, guest relations, or a front-of-house role is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in German and English.
• A warm, engaging, and professional demeanor with a strong sense of hospitality.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and irregular hours based on event schedules.
