We’re hiring a People & Culture Manager to join our clients Berlin-based team and lead the charge in creating an exceptional employee experience. This is a rare opportunity to own the full people agenda, from operational HR to high-impact strategic initiatives, in a business where your ideas will be heard and your work will drive real change.

Now at a pivotal moment in the journey - the product is live, the market is responding, and the team, who made up of talented engineers and dynamic salespeople, is growing fast. It's the right time for someone who can help turn early momentum into long-term, scalable success.

This is your opportunity to build the People function from scratch, it will mean wearing many hats. From embedding culture, professionalism, and process without losing the scrappy startup spirit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Partnering
    Partner directly with founders and team leads to support people strategy aligned with business goals.
    Act as a trusted advisor to managers in both Sales and Engineering, coaching on team dynamics, performance, and communication.
  • Operational Excellence
    Own all day-to-day HR operations; contracts, onboarding, policies, compliance, and employee lifecycle management.
    Ensure HR systems and processes are fit-for-purpose, and evolve them as the business scales.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding
    Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, building out talent pipelines and shaping the employer brand.
    Design and deliver a best-in-class onboarding experience.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement
    Lead on all employee relations matters with empathy, fairness, and pragmatism.
    Develop and implement engagement strategies that keep employees happy, motivated, and growing.
  • Retention & Career Development
    Create and roll out career frameworks, feedback tools, and learning & development initiatives.
    Support managers and team members with clear, meaningful growth paths.
  • Quick Wins & Long-Term Wins
    Identify and implement low-lift improvements that make an immediate impact.
    Lay the foundations for a scalable People function that supports future international growth.

To Be Successful

  • Proven HR generalist experience, you’ve seen it, done it, and are ready to do it again in a startup context.
  • Confident navigating ambiguity. You’re not afraid of a blank page or a problem that doesn’t yet have a process.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to build trust fast and influence with ease.
  • Hands-on and proactive. Roll up your sleeves and make things happen.
  • Commercial mindset, understanding how great people practices drive business success.
  • Previous experience working closely with Sales and/or Engineering teams a huge plus.
  • Business fluency in English and German.
