Position Details

• Location: Kleinmachnow (Berlin region), Germany
• Contract type: Full-time, initially limited until 31st July 2028
• Start date: 1 August 2026
• Full-Time: 30 teaching units per week
• Vacation: 60 days per year, taken during school holidays
• Teaching: Grades 6–12, MYP & DP
• Salary range: €55,059 - €61.884,91 gross/year (full‑time, based on experience/qualifications)
• On-site work: On‑site teaching with designated preparation time.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Mathematics teacher who believes every student can succeed in Mathematics. You will provide engaging and appropriately challenging learning experiences for high‑achieving students, while fostering confidence and growth in those with developing skills or low confidence in numeracy.

Your Qualification

What you bring to the role:

• Teaching certification, preferably with a master's degree in a related field
• Experience teaching Mathematics in IB programmes (MYP and DP preferred; we also welcome candidates with experience in AP, A‑Level, IGCSE or similar, as training can be provided as part of our extensive professional development programme)
• Experience in international schools with excellent references indicating a passion for teaching Mathematics
• Outstanding communication skills (both written and spoken)

Desirable Experience

• Experience in teaching Theory of Knowledge
• Supervise the Personal Project/Extended Essay
• Experience as an IB workshop leader and/or examiner

Important documents required before employment at BBIS

• Proof of immunity against measles, which must have been confirmed by a doctor if you were born after 1970. Alternatively, a medical certificate of medical contraindication can be provided.
• The original certificate of the highest obtained (university) degree
• An extended certificate of conduct that must not be older than six months.

Responsibilities

• Teach IB DP and IB MYP Mathematics to students from grade 6 to 12 (experience in Math AI and/or Remedial MYP Math is an asset)
• Design inquiry‑driven, differentiated instruction and implement Tier 1 and Tier 2 interventions to support all learners
• Communicate regularly with parents to build strong home‑school partnerships
• Contribute to homeroom/advisor role, extra‑curricular activities, and holistic student development
• Plan collaboratively across disciplines and utilise technology effectively within teaching and learning
• Promote student well‑being in the Maths classroom and beyond
