Import Coordinator (Ocean Freight)

Crane Worldwide Logistics is a leader in supply chain solutions with over 130 locations across 30 countries providing individual services that address our client's logistics challenges.

The Import Specialist is responsible for the processing of import shipments and all related activities for an assigned base of accounts. Performs duties related to import documentation review and customs release coordination affecting timely delivery. Logistic coordination, included deliveries and distribution.

Essential Job Functions:

Receive, review, and process import documentation for an assigned base of accounts.
Monitor transactions and notify supervisory personnel of any problem or irregularities.
Provide excellent and timely client service by informing the client of the status of their shipment(s).
Coordinate sea freight, release operations, customs or other governmental agency examinations that may be required.
Dispatch deliveries with truckers.
Coordinate warehousing operations.
Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Position may require extended periods of sitting, computer use, standing and walking. Some light lifting may be required in some instances.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Strong oral and written communication skills.
Must have excellent client service skills, responding promptly and professionally to client needs and requests for service and assistance.
English language knowledge (oral/written) - level B1 minimum
Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine correspondence.
Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills.

Certifications and Licenses:

Professional certification may be required in some areas.
