Import & Export Specialist (m/f/d)

Evident Inspection Technologies, a Wabtec company, is a world leader in the manufacture of innovative inspection equipment used in industrial and research applications in the aerospace, power generation, petrochemical, civil infrastructure, automotive and consumer products industries. We offer a wide range of ultrasonic and eddy current flaw detection software and equipment. Our equipment is used, among other things, to inspect welds, detect hidden cracks, voids, porosity, and other internal irregularities in various materials.

As Import & Export Specialist (m/f/d) you will be responsible for the execution of operational import and export processes for incoming and outgoing deliveries.

Tasks

• Communicate closely with freight forwarders for import and deliveries to the warehouse
• Responsible for ensuring that all necessary import and export documents are copmleted on time
• Organize the transports to the customer
• Create and send daily/weekly reports
• Contact person for internal and external customers for both import and export-related inquiries (e.g. customs agency, certificates of origin, proof of preference etc.)
• Archiving of import and export documents
• Part of the team responsible for effective inbound and outbound logistics, delivery performance andmaterial availability for the Evident EMEA business

Requirements

• Successfully completed a commercial apprenticeship as an Industrial clerk, forwarding agent or comparable training
• Extensive professional experience in the international movement of goods in import and/or export processing
• Experience with the preparation of certificates of origin
• Experience with "Letter of Credit" deliveries
• Experienced in dealing with customers and freight forwarders in an international company
• Good understanding of INCOTERMS
• Good user knowledge of MS Office and SAP
• Very good command of German and English
