About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Incident Response Consultant to join our small, specialized European Incident Response team. This is a crucial role focused on providing expert digital forensics, incident response, and project-based consultancy to our clients. While our Security Operations Center (SOC) provides a strong internal pipeline, we are expanding our team to enhance our capacity for complex, long-term security incident projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute end-to-end Incident Response (IR) investigations, often lasting several weeks to months.
Provide expert consultancy to clients during a security incident, guiding them through containment, eradication, and recovery strategies.
Conduct Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) activities, including evidence collection, analysis, and reporting.
Work on various IT Security Projects , which may include aspects of E-Discovery.
Develop comprehensive and high-quality reporting and documentation on incident findings for both technical and executive audiences.
Act as a technical expert and key client contact throughout complex security engagements.

Required Experience & Skills

Strong, verifiable background in Incident Response and Consultancy. Candidates must demonstrate experience beyond typical Tier 1/2 SOC alert handling.
Proven ability to manage and deliver project-related IR engagements.
Solid technical understanding of various operating systems, network forensics, and cloud security environments.
Experience with Digital Forensics tools and methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Highly Desirable (The "Ideal Candidate")

Relevant industry certifications such as SANS core certifications (e.g., GCIH, GCFA).
Experience working in a managed security service provider (MSSP) or large-scale consultancy environment.
Fluency in German or other major European languages (to be confirmed).
