Project Lead / Project Manager – Software Development

Location: Kiel, Germany (Up to 60% Remote)

Contract: 18 months ANU (possible extension to 24 months)

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: approx €95,000 (depending on experience)

Languages: Business Fluent German and English (both mandatory)

An international technology company specialising in advanced test & measurement solutions and secure communications is currently seeking experienced Project Lead / Project Manager professionals to support complex software development initiatives. This role is based in Kiel and offers a hybrid working model with up to 60% remote work.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced project managers with strong technical understanding of software development and proven experience coordinating multiple agile teams in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead one or more software development projects as technical project lead
• Consolidate roadmaps from multiple teams into integrated project plans, including certification milestones as project gates
• Manage project scope across sprints and development phases while coordinating dependencies between teams and products
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Product Owners and Requirements Engineers to align priorities and delivery timelines
• Coordinate cross-functional development teams and promote agile ways of working
• Monitor project performance across time, cost and quality metrics
• Perform risk management and use Jira metrics for forecasting and resource planning
• Act as the central point of contact for stakeholders and provide transparent KPI reporting to management

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in project management
• Strong hands-on experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban and SAFe
• Solid technical understanding of software development, test management and release processes
• Experience coordinating multiple development teams or complex software projects
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
• Business fluent German and English (written and spoken)
