Infrastructure Engineer (f/m/d) (VMware)

Start today as an NSX/VMware Engineer for a brighter future. We are looking for a suitable candidate to support one of our clients in their Global Infrastructure team in Nuremberg. Your tasks include, but are not limited to, focusing on cloud networking and NSX services, as well as implementing the expansion of virtual network offerings.

Your responsibilities:

1. Focus on the company's NSX environment and its transition to NSX-T
2. Implement the expansion of virtual network offerings
3. Participate in a Scrum team
4. Be responsible for the virtual to physical interface
5. Serve as the primary contact for NSX load balancing and firewalls
6. Support the move to a fully integrated hybrid cloud infrastructure
7. Assist in planning and implementing other projects and new designs
8. Manage and implement changes (Change Management)
9. Manage and support installation of new versions and patches
10. Coordinate with suppliers
11. Document all tasks in a ticketing tool and CMDB
12. Support daily cloud and infrastructure tasks
13. Administer Cloud and private Cloud datacenter infrastructure
14. Work with public cloud services including AWS and Google Cloud
15. Maintain good knowledge of BGP and awareness of OSPF
16. Possess knowledge of VMware enterprise products
17. Understand network concepts beyond NSX (routing, firewalling, load balancing)
18. Fluent in English; German skills are a plus but not required
