Job Description

Eurofins Genomics is a global provider of genomic services including next generation sequencing, genotyping, gene expression analysis, and more. We value customer orientation and high quality standards. The role is home office-based, with occasional visits to production sites in Germany and Europe.

General Conditions

  • Home office-based work, with occasional visits to production sites in Germany and Europe.
  • Support during induction and training.
  • 32 hours per week, permanent position.

Responsibilities

  • Increase sales in all genomics services across agrigenomics, environmental & food genomics, biopharma genomics, and personal genomics, including cross‑selling and developing account potential.
  • Establish and maintain a sales pipeline: identify new projects and business opportunities.
  • Provide regular reporting (sales analysis, forecasting, competitive analysis) and intensive use of CRM, including ongoing database maintenance.
  • Involve technical experts for optimal project solutions.
  • Communicate market and customer feedback to internal teams.
  • Implement the sales strategy in coordination with the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Conduct product presentations and provide advice on genomics solutions.
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and convert new leads to expand the customer base via telephone, email, and team meetings.
  • Guide new customers through the ordering process and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Process public tenders, depending on the region.

Qualifications

  • Completed degree (BSc or higher) in a relevant scientific subject or at least 3 years of professional experience in customer contact in genomics.
  • In‑depth knowledge of genomics applications and analysis methods.
  • Independent, goal‑oriented approach to work – including when working from home.
  • Hunter mentality.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Team player with high integrity and initiative.
  • Business‑fluent written and spoken German and English.
