Your responsibilities

In your daily activities you are responsible for teardown of mechanic telecommunication equipment and product cost calculations as well as the maintenance of related tools & databases.

The output of your work directly supports the sourcing teams and support the sourcing managers in supplier negotiations with technical "hard facts" such as cost per item. You will get insights how we work in cross-functional teams from Marketing, Technology, Finance and Sourcing for new product developments, how we identify savings opportunities and to identify cost scaling factors next to being always up-to-date with latest technology.

Your output will be linked to the following activities:

• Cost-Modelling of infrastructure products
• Teardown of existing mechanical products using a method of reverse-cost-engineering
• Clustering of technical specification requirements to core function of products
• Development, organization and management of raw material and component cost trackers
• General support of the Target Costing team in and around the Labs
• An internship project, which you will plan, stage, execute and present independently

Your profile

• Personal interest in fixed and mobile telecommunication infrastructure products and hands-on experience
• Identify raw materials and components, understand the technical functionality of modules and group them into functions
• You are proficient in reading technical drawings and/or cost and activity accounting
  
• Experience on industrial manufacturing processes and/or extended knowledge on mechanical construction
• Analytical problem-solving skills and an ability to be pro-active with a sense of urgency
• You have advanced skills in typical MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint), experience in Databases (e.g. MS Fabric), Queries (e.g. SQL), Dashboard visualization (e.g. PowerBI) or Automation (e.g. PowerAutomate, Copilot) are a plus
• Fluent in English, being able to communicate in German and French is a plus
