Index Management Intern (m/f/d) – Equity Index Engineering / Market Data Research (full‑time) – Frankfurt am Main

Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic intern with knowledge of capital markets, securities, and passive investment strategies to join our team. The role combines data analysis, free‑float calculations, corporate event tracking, and data feed maintenance within a fintech environment.

Your Tasks

• Review free float for various securities:
  • Collect information on shareholding structure for Solactive universe companies via stock exchange, company websites, and annual reports.
  • Analyze shareholder types and calculate the free‑float factor based on Solactive internal guidelines.
  • Review foreign ownership restrictions applicable to companies, sectors, or countries.
  • Review the number of shares outstanding for Solactive universe companies.
• Track corporate events and review their impact on the free float of a security.
• Maintain existing data feeds and work with internal and external parties to enhance them.
• Conduct quality assessment of data per product and index review schedules.

Your Profile

• Enrolled student in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Sciences, Mathematics or a related field.
• Strong interest in capital markets.
• Competent in handling MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Attention to detail; strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with good logical aptitude.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
• Python skills are a plus.
