What You Can Expect
We are looking for you to support our team Crop & Yield Modelling in Cologne for a 3-month internship on site:

• In your new role, you are responsible for calibrating and validating crop growth models to improve agronomic predictions.
• Together with your colleagues, you analyze crop growth stage data, perform quality checks, and visualize results to optimize model performance.
• You support field visits for in-season monitoring and data collection.
• Your expertise contributes to integrating weather data and developing concepts to address data drift for more robust modelling approaches.
• Last but not least, you are involved in R&D activities to explore new modelling features and architectures for further improvement.

What You Offer

• ongoing studies in agricultural sciences, environmental sciences, data science or a comparable field
• initial practical experience in modelling, data analysis or agricultural research
• solid knowledge in data visualization and statistics, ideally with experience in modelling software
• excellent English skills and proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Python or R is a plus
• analytical mindset, team spirit and a proactive approach to sustainable innovation
