Location and Duration

Your location: Hamburg Finkenwerder. You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Are you wondering how you actually get from university to Airbus? Your working student position is at the Finkenwerder plant and you can take the ferry from Teufelsbrück to the Airbus ferry terminal and back to the university in the morning and at noon. Alternatively, you can take the ferry to Finkenwerder and then ride your bike for about another 15 minutes to the main entrance.

Your Tasks And Responsibilities

• You will be actively contributing to the operational coordination of the customer inquiries, ensuring they are delivered on time and with quality
• You will be a focal point for communication with our internal customers to agree on target dates and provide a realistic view of our capacity and capability
• You will get to know the airframe repair business, focusing on balanced distribution of workload within the team and across engineering centers
• You will monitor the resource and workload situation daily and weekly
• You will contribute to robust planning, including improvement of the planning process (e.g., automation)
• You will lead interesting initiatives or projects with a focus on customer and in-service operations

Desired Skills And Qualifications

• Fluent in German and English
• You are studying Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• You have a strong sense of responsibility and are willing to expand knowledge about: overall aircraft design, primary structure principles, understanding of stress and airworthiness requirements
• You are customer oriented to find and propose the best solution to fit customer needs, even under time pressure
• You enjoy working in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment
• Project management experience (apprenticeships and internships included)
• Strong verbal and written communication in English
• Desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
• Self-awareness and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development
