Investment Banking Analyst (M&A) – Infrastructure & Energy | London Relocation Opportunity

A reputable German investment bank focused on buy-side & sell-side M&A in the infrastructure sector is hiring an Investment Banking Analyst (1–3 years’ experience) to join its successful London-based team, offering full visa sponsorship.

The Role

You’ll work across the full deal lifecycle, including:

Building detailed financial models (3-statement, DCF, IRR analysis).
Performing valuation analysis (DCF, precedent transactions, trading comps).
Preparing IMs, teasers, investor materials & committee papers.
Supporting live M&A execution and due diligence processes.
Managing data rooms, stakeholder comms & transaction workflows.
Conducting sector research & market mapping (Energy & Infra focus).
Supporting business development and investor targeting.
Mentoring junior team members and contributing to a high-performance culture.

Essential Requirements:

1–3 years’ experience in Investment Banking / M&A
Infrastructure, Energy, Utilities, Industrials sectors
Fluent German + English (additional European languages a plus)
Strong financial modelling & valuation skills

Desirable Criteria:

Strong academic background (MSc preferred)
Confident communicator, detail-driven, and team-oriented
Interest in pivoting from Generalist towards energy transition & infrastructure investing
