Investment Intern (f/m/d) – Venture Capital

Do you want to understand how venture capital works in practice and contribute to real investment decisions? In this role, you will support our investment team across the full deal lifecycle — from sourcing and screening to due diligence and portfolio support. You will gain direct exposure to venture capital transactions, work closely with a senior investment team, and take on meaningful responsibility from day one.

Join The Bau Ventures in Berlin for a 6-month full-time internship and benefit from a steep learning curve across sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management within a venture platform backed by a strong industrial anchor.

• Screen and evaluate early-stage startups across PropTech, ConTech, and adjacent verticals, and manage our deal flow pipeline and CRM
• Conduct market research, competitive analyses, and commercial assessments to support investment decisions
• Participate in founder meetings and coordinate follow-ups with promising companies
• Develop financial models and support valuation and due diligence analyses
• Prepare investment memos and materials for the Investment Committee
• Track portfolio KPIs, support reporting processes, and contribute to thematic research and the development of investment theses

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a university in business, finance, economics, engineering, or a related field
• First experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, consulting, or a high-growth startup
• Strong analytical skills, including knowledge of financial modeling and valuation fundamentals
• Structured working style with a high level of ownership and reliability
• Strong interest in venture capital and technology-driven business models, ideally within the built environment or urban tech ecosystem
• German and English proficiency at B1 level or higher
