IoT / Smart Home Engineer / KNX / Programmer

Zentrian is looking for an experienced IoT / Smart Home Engineer / KNX / Programmer (Freelance or fixed employed) to support our team in Mallorca, starting immediately.

We are looking for a team member to support our team with smart home / KNX knowledge. We are looking for a person to become a team member with a minimum of 3 years of KNX experience / ETS coding.

Your Responsibilities

• Analyse and, where necessary, modify existing ETS projects
• Design and code advanced functionalities in ETS / KNX
• Adjust and implement other protocols such as Modbus, Dali, Matter, etc.
• Constantly develop new solutions on the basis of existing hard- and software

Your Profile

• Solid understanding of building automation (bus systems, gateways, commissioning, topologies)
• Strong knowledge of KNX (TP/IP), ETS (KNX)
• Experience with several of the following:
• Modbus (RTU/TCP), BACnet, Zigbee/Z-Wave, Matter/Thread, MQTT
• Initial programming skills (ideally Python, Node.js, or Go) to understand our existing interfaces to web-technology
• Experience with Docker, REST APIs, and tools like Wireshark welcome
• Ability to understand and clearly document encoding/decoding, addressing, and protocol internals
• English language skills
