The role sits within IT Operations , in the IT Infrastructure team, which is responsible for shopware AG’s internal IT infrastructure . As an IT Administrator - Cloud-Infrastructure (m/f/d) , you play a key role in maintaining, optimising, and evolving our infrastructure and network architecture. Working closely with internal experts and external partners – including AWS specialists – you ensure a stable, performant, and future‑ready system landscape.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the overall monitoring and health of our infrastructure, ensuring stability, performance, and reliability.
• Design and improve our network architecture, creating the basis for a scalable and efficient infrastructure.
• Work with the Security Specialist to strengthen and continuously optimise our system security.
• Focus on the monitoring and cost optimisation of our AWS environments and the ongoing development of our AWS architecture.
• Use tools such as Terraform, CloudWatch, and monitoring systems to ensure transparency and automation across our setup.
• Prepare reports and analyses that support decision‑making with clear data insights.
• Collaborate with the Cloud Engineering and Infrastructure teams on projects from planning to implementation.
• Share knowledge with colleagues to maintain a strong internal knowledge base.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in a similar field and demonstrable success.
• Broad understanding of network and infrastructure systems enabling management and evolution of complex environments.
• Solid Linux experience and confidence working with cloud environments, particularly AWS.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and the ability to generate meaningful system reports.
• Familiarity with Terraform to manage infrastructure efficiently as code.
• Ideally, experience in CI/CD, GitHub or GitHub Actions.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• High degree of self‑motivation and curiosity driving continuous optimisation of existing systems.
• Fluency in German and English (C1) allowing seamless work in an international environment.
