IT Desktop Service Engineer

Our client, a leading global audit and assurance, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, tax and related services, is recruiting for an IT Desktop Service Engineer to join their business in Germany.

Responsibilities

• Provide on‑site technical support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems and applications
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide timely resolution
• Technical preparation and equipment setup for meetings, including audio‑visual equipment, network connections, and meeting software (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
• Real‑time technical support during meetings, addressing login difficulties, audio‑visual problems, etc.
• Maintain all infrastructure environments, including meeting rooms, server rooms, application systems, IT platforms
• Inspect server and meeting rooms on a daily basis
• Manage and maintain servers, network devices, and storage systems
• Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning and optimization
• Support network core, firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, wireless access points, and other associated equipment
• Monitor IT platform and network quality, troubleshoot, track, and assist in testing and repair

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
• Strong understanding of network architecture and security principles
• High level of commitment, initiative and ability to work independently
• English language proficiency; Mandarin preferred
