IT Infrastructure Engineer

Length Of Assignment: 6 months
Schedule: Full-Time – On-Site - 40 hours per week
Location(s) and expected travel: Working On-Site in the North of Germany with potential travel to Austria at some stage of the project.

Client looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer for their North of Germany location (Dusseldorf area). Need an experienced resource with minimum 5+ years of Infra Engineering background.

Requirements:

• Fluent in German and English - oral and written
• Ability to travel in country and across EU and UK essential.
• Proficiency in IT infrastructure management, including servers, networking, and desktop support.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Experience working with third-party contractors.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and reliability of IT systems and documentation.
• Security Awareness: Strong understanding of IT security principles and practices to protect company data and systems.

Hands-on approach for L1/L2/L3 & L4 IT services onsite.

Office Migration: Collaborate with project managers to deliver and support the migration to a new office location (approx 1 mile away).
Standards Implementation: Set up and standardize backend servers, networking, desktop workstations, printers, and other IT infrastructure in the new office in collaboration with global teams
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all IT processes and systems.
Third-Party Coordination: Work with third-party contractors to ensure seamless integration and support.
Task Management: Prioritize and manage tasks using the Azure DevOps board.
Agile Team Participation: Actively participate in an agile team environment.
Language Proficiency: Communicate effectively in both English and German, both orally and in writing.
Travel Requirements: Ability to travel within the country and across the EU, including the UK.

Additional Skills and Qualifications:

Experience in user training and desktop upgrades.
Ability to create detailed statements of work.
Experience in office migration projects.
