• Our department supports and advises on the operational implementation of IT security requirements within the IT department’s line-of-business operations. This includes planning, developing, deploying, and operating IT infrastructure and applications for the DRV Bund. We ensure that the diverse tasks of IT security within the IT department are coordinated and managed consistently.

Responsibilities

For us, information security is not just a paper tiger, but a living practice. In this role, you will actively help shape security processes and make a significant contribution to protecting critical IT infrastructure and sensitive data. Working closely with business units, IT operations, and security management, you will play a key role in ensuring information security through comprehensive consulting and methodological expertise.

• Contribute to the creation, further development, and quality assurance of IT security concepts in accordance with BSI IT-Grundschutz and relevant standards
• Managing and providing technical support for acceptance testing
• Advising business departments and IT operations on IT security requirements
• Identifying vulnerabilities, including developing practical improvement measures
• Planning, conducting, and following up on security reviews/audits, including documentation and the derivation of measures
• Evaluating technological innovations (e.g., new platforms, cloud solutions, business processes) from IT security and compliance perspectives
• Analyzing and evaluating information security risks in close cooperation with IS risk management, operational security management, and IT operations
• Establishing and maintaining knowledge management, as well as designing and implementing training and awareness-raising measures for IT security
• Developing guidelines, recommendations for action, and technical analyses for IT departments and decision-making bodies
• Participating in or leading projects, working groups, and committees

Profile

• Completed university degree (Diploma (University of Applied Sciences) / Bachelor’s) in the IT field or an equivalent qualification, for example based on an IT-specific certification, completed vocational training in the IT sector with several years of relevant professional experience, or comparable, long-term practical experience in the IT sector
• Current, initial practical experience in the field of IT security / information security
• In-depth knowledge of common IT security standards, particularly BSI IT-Grundschutz or comparable frameworks
• Analytical approach, structured documentation, and a keen sense for practical solutions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Rounded out by a high degree of personal responsibility, reliability, and motivation to actively help shape security processes
