IT Specialist Production and Shopfloor Systems F-35 (m/w/d)

Rheinmetall Aviation Services GmbH (RAS) is ready to enter a new market and is taking on new tasks in the aviation sector! We are starting to produce centre fuselage sections for the most advanced and capable fighter aircraft in the world, the F-35.

• Maintaining and troubleshooting production-related IT systems (MES, SCADA, ERP interfaces) as well as monitoring and optimizing network connectivity on the production lines
• Ensuring high availability and performance of shopfloor applications
• Managing user access, permissions and system configurations
• Coordinating vendors and internal teams for system upgrades and patches
• Supporting and maintaining hardware such as industrial PCs, HMIs, barcode scanners, and IoT devices
• Assisting in the rollout of new automation technologies and digital tools as well as ensuring cybersecurity compliance for shopfloor systems
• Integrating engineering tools with production systems for data exchange and reporting as well as providing technical support for CAD/CAM, simulation and data analysis tools used by process engineers
• Managing licenses and updates for specialized software

What Qualifications You Should Have

• Successfully completed studies in the field of information technology, engineering or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in IT support within a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
• Familiarity with MES, SCADA, PLCs, and industrial networking
• Experience with process engineering tools (e.g., Siemens NX, AutoCAD, MATLAB)
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies and digital manufacturing
• Experience with ITIL or similar service management frameworks
• Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
