IT System Engineer z/OS Mainframe (w/m/d) – Helaba (2025/311)

Location: Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany. Contract: 2 years, part‑time (50%).

Responsibilities

• Work in a motivated team for the operation of z/OS‑Mainframe applications with high functional importance for the bank.
• Participate in a large innovation project to modernize central applications.
• Act as a qualified contact for the business area and internal and external service providers.
• Ensure smooth operation of the daily end‑processing.
• Maintain resource and capacity planning for the team to secure the delegated operations and participation in projects.

Qualifications

• Completed computer science studies or a comparable education.
• Extensive knowledge of procedures and processes for provisioning and controlling test, acceptance, and production environments under z/OS Mainframe.
• Experience in the banking environment is an advantage, as well as knowledge of IT operations and ITIL.
• Excellent communication skills and a cooperative team ethos.
• Knowledge of Automic UC4 is advantageous.
• Fluency in German (C1 Level).
