IT System & Network Engineer

Our client is a leading player in metal fabrication, steel construction and welding technology and none of it works without a rock-solid IT backbone. Thats where you come in.
We´re looking for an experienced IT System & Network Engineer who loves hands‑on work, thrives in industrial environments and wants to take real ownership of a diverse, growing IT landscape.

Your Mission

Become the go-to expert for all things IT across our production halls and offices. You will:

• Run, maintain and optimise our on-prem infrastructure : networks, servers, clients & telephony (~500 devices)

• Ensure availability, security and performance across TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, WLAN & more

• Provide practical 1st/2‑level support to employees in both office and production environments

• Manage and enhance our Windows Server / Windows Client / MS Office environment

• Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity and peripheral issues quickly and effectively

• Support company‑wide IT improvement projects and help modernise our infrastructure

• Keep configurations and processes documented and transparent

What Makes You a Great Fit:

• 5+ years in IT/network administration ideally in an industrial or manufacturing setting

• Solid command of networking: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP/S, RDP, SMTP, WLAN, VLAN

• Strong Windows Server / Client / Office skills

• German C2 (fluent level)

• Class B driving licence + own car (short site-to-site trips)

• Proactive, reliable, structured someone who enjoys taking responsibility

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with Sophos & Lancom

• Microsoft 365 knowledge

• English communication skills

Experience & Tech Stack:

• 5+ years in IT/network administration (manufacturing environment preferred)

• Windows Server/Client, MS Office

• TCP/IP & networking fundamentals

• Sophos, Lancom, Microsoft 365

• Hardware/peripheral troubleshooting

What We Offer:

• Salary: 40,000 -46,000 gross/year + Bonus

• Contract: Permanent, full-time (38 h/week)

• Working hours: Flextime, core hours 09:00- 15:00

• Time off: 30 vacation days
