Responsibilities

Responsible for the administration and further development of the existing hybrid IT‑infrastructure in the areas of servers, storage, virtualization and cloud technologies at the Essen site.
Responsible for the security, maintenance and performance of the IT infrastructure.
Creation, maintenance and update of system and operation documentation.

Qualifications

Completed degree in Computer Science or comparable IT‑related training.
Excellent knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2019/2022), virtualization (VMware/ Veeam Backup) and networking technology (IPv4/IPv6, Fortinet firewall, DHCP, DNS, certificates, VLAN, etc.).
Solid knowledge in hybrid Microsoft cloud integration (Entra ID, Intune, M365, Exchange Online, etc.).
Good knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell, Windows clients and security suites.
Strong analytical skills, independent work style and team orientation.
Good German and English language skills in spoken and written form.
