Java Developer - Leipzig - Renewable Energy
An internationally operating energy and technology company based in Leipzig is looking for an experienced Java Developer to help enhance and scale automated trading systems for the European power market. Your RoleDevelop and maintain backend services that provide key market data for algorithmic trading decisionsImprove existing systems and implement new features to support market expansionConduct code reviews and collaborate with your team to ensure high code qualityTroubleshoot and debug issues, while contributing to technical documentationWork closely with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
Tech StackLanguages & Frameworks: Java (11+), Spring BootDevOps & Monitoring: GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube, Kubernetes, Micrometer, Grafana
What You BringMust-Haves:At least 2 years of experience in Java software development and Spring BootSolid grasp of design patterns, concurrency, and asynchronous programmingConfident working with Git, unit/integration testing, and relational databasesExperience designing and consuming APIsGood communication skills in English (minimum B2 level)Nice-to-Haves:Familiarity with message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)Experience with Docker, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelinesUnderstanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
