In Bulgaria, we are looking for a Java Engineer with a strong back‑end focus to join our team.

You will work on developing and maintaining backend services and business process flows, primarily using Java, JPA, SQL, REST, and SOAP. The role also includes supporting system integrations, participating in technical discussions, and gaining exposure to DevOps and enterprise technologies such as WebSphere and AWS.

This is you

• 4+ years of experience in Java development
• Solid knowledge of Java, JPA, REST, SOAP, and SQL
• Experience working with backend systems and integrations
• Ability to understand and work with technical requirements
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills in English

Nice‑to‑have skills (or willingness to learn)

• IBM WebSphere / BAW (Business Process & Mediation Flow development)
• Oracle DB
• Build tools such as Maven or Gradle
• WebSphere installation and configuration (Jython scripting)
• Basic knowledge of AWS
• Exposure to DevOps practices and scripting (Python, Ant, etc.)

This is your role

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java, JPA, SQL, REST, and SOAP
• Support system integrations and work with database and network‑related components
• Contribute to business process flows and enterprise system configurations
• Assist in PoC and discovery activities, helping clarify technical requirements
• Support build and deployment processes and gradually gain experience in DevOps practices
• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams
• Continuously improve your technical skills and contribute to team knowledge sharing
