Java Full Stack Developer

HOLOGATE is seeking a highly motivated Java Full Stack Developer (f/m/d) to join our development team. In this role, you will play an essential part in building and evolving the applications, backends, and middleware that power our immersive VR systems and customer experiences. Your Responsibilities

• Contribute as a key developer to our platform application ecosystem, building customer‑facing frontends, robust backends, and middleware APIs that power VR device control and customer session management

• Develop administrative backends that enable efficient management, monitoring, and configuration of our VR systems

• Take ownership of legacy codebases: implement new features, refactor components, improve performance, fix bugs, and enhance documentation

• Develop and maintain scalable, reliable applications across multiple Java versions and frameworks

• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to provide technical expertise and support for our wide range of products and customers

• Build responsive, modern, and user‑centric interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies

• Modernize and optimize existing UIs while ensuring backward compatibility with established systems

• Leverage strong data management and troubleshooting skills to improve system performance

• Implement database optimization strategies to ensure efficient resource usage and fast response times

• Ensure seamless system integration with a strong focus on data security and best practices

Your Profile

• 5+ years of proven experience in full stack development, including the enhancement and modernization of legacy systems

• Strong proficiency in Java (multiple versions and frameworks) as well as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, and modern frontend technologies

• Experience working with relational databases, including data modeling, optimization, and performance tuning

• Ability to independently analyze and solve complex technical challenges with a detail‑oriented and innovative mindset

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for working in cross‑functional teams

• Hands‑on experience with SCRUM or similar agile methodologies is a strong plus

• Native‑level German skills required; good English proficiency is a strong advantage
