Java Full Stack Developer

ProPursuit is currently searching for an experienced Java Full Stack Developer to work with a Software Solutions customer of ours located in Dortmund, Germany.

This position is a hybrid working module requiring 2 days onsite per week and also requires fluency in German language.

Salary for this role would range from €70,000 – €80,000 depending on your experience.

Your role:

• Work with your team and in direct communication with the customer on modern, flexible solutions, both in the frontend (JavaScript) and the backend (Java, Spring).
• Implement features and integrations independently, primarily in online and multichannel payment systems.
• Analyze and fix bugs.
• Improve user processes in the frontend and backend.
• Coordinate regularly with the customer regarding requirements and prioritization.
• Analyze and integrate third-party APIs.
• Occasionally create small reports and refactor code for API optimization.

Your profile:

• Completed training as an IT specialist for application development or a degree in computer science.
• Minimum of 3 years experience working with Java.
• Experience with Spring and JPA (Java Persistence API). Ideally, also with Java EE.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and relational databases (e.g., MySQL).
• Ability to understand complex requirements and APIs, and derive structured solutions independently.
• Careful handling of sensitive data and critical review of implementations, especially with external interfaces.
• Fluency in German and English is required.
