This role is part of Setago.io, a small SaaS company in Nürnberg and part of the Phoenix Mecano Group, focusing on digitalizing shopfloor processes through digital work instructions, guided assembly, quality inspections, and revision‑safe evidence, optionally complemented by sensor/ hardware integrations.

Why we need you

We are scaling our lead generation and need to ensure no lead is left behind. You will own sales calls and the closing process, and in weeks with fewer new leads, you will actively secure additional qualified conversations.

Responsibilities

1) Closing & Deal Leadership (approx. 70%)

  • Take over leads, prioritize them, and set a next step within 24 hours.
  • Conduct discovery calls and qualification.
  • Perform demos/use‑case walkthroughs.
  • Drive follow‑ups, involve stakeholders, and set next steps.
  • Move deals to closure.
  • Maintain a clean CRM (stages, notes, next steps, close dates).
  • Weekly: review numbers + test 1–2 concrete improvements.

2) Lead Activation (approx. 30% only in low‑lead phases)

Key distinctions:

  • Email outreach primarily handled by Ops (lists, sequences, personalization).
  • Partnerships/multipliers managed by the executive team.

Additional pipeline contributions focus on:

  • Cold calls on existing target account lists.
  • Personalized LinkedIn outreach as a complement.
  • Reactivate old leads/opportunities in HubSpot.
  • Generate referrals/intros from ongoing conversations.
  • Improve inbound conversion speed & quality of initial response.

Qualifications

Ideal for: Sales professionals early in their career wanting to take ownership and drive impact.

We value learning, iteration, and visible impact. If you expect a constant high inbound stream or prefer rigid processes, this may not be ideal for you.

Must‑haves

  • Excellent German, good English.
  • Dependability, structure, thorough follow‑up.
  • Ownership mindset.
  • CRM discipline (HubSpot).

Nice‑to‑haves

  • Initial sales exposure (working student/intern, recruiting, customer support).
  • Interest in industry/production/lean.
  • Call routine experience or willingness to learn quickly.
