Role Overview

You’ll help us build tech-enabled product experiences for people to work on and regularly practice their personal development and mental health. We are looking for a (Junior) Backend or Full-stack Software Developer who is ready to start with a blank page and shape the foundations of our product with their own ideas and expertise.

Responsibilities include:

1. Helping us build our MVP from scratch.
2. Being the second engineer in our Dev Team and working closely with our Lead Engineer to design backend architecture, develop features, and write, test, and review code.
3. Helping define the ground rules of a backend team that will scale with the company.
4. Building APIs to deliver mental wellbeing content to mobile and web users.
5. Implementing automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code.
6. Continuously evaluating existing systems with industry standards and pushing for innovation.
7. Ensuring users' data is stored safely and accessed securely, in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of professional experience in Backend Development and Database management.
• A passion for clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Enjoys working with data and extracting useful insights, with a good understanding of APIs.
• Values prototyping and iterative development to find lean solutions.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Bonus

Experience in the startup environment or digital health is a plus.
