Summary of the Opportunity

Adevinta is looking for a full-time Data Engineer with a degree. The candidate will design, build, and optimize data-driven solutions, working both independently and in a team. The Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to contribute to the development of data solutions, with a focus on performance optimization and feature implementation. The role involves working both independently and within a team to design, build, and maintain high-quality systems, while also taking part in technical discussions and on-call rotations.

The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in data engineering, with experience using cloud platforms and big data frameworks. They should possess strong programming skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage tasks autonomously. A passion for learning and collaboration is essential for success in this role.

What you'll do

• Analyzes and implements a complex feature autonomously
• Builds software solutions by adhering to our quality standards
• Participates in the technical design of features with guidance
• Understands and optimizes system performances
• Prioritizes tasks with autonomy based on requirements and proper context
• Partecipate to a 24/7 on-call turns

Who are you

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Previous experience as a Data Engineer (+2 years)
• In-depth knowledge of AWS, Spark, Flink, and similar frameworks
• Good Knowledge of programming languages including Java, Scala, Python
• Familiarity at least on a cloud provider, and Docker tools
• Good tasks management and communication skills
• Team player
• Eager to learn
