Junior IT Operations Engineer

ai-coustics is building the reliability layer for Voice AI, the system that closes the gap between raw audio input and reliable machine understanding in production. By combining state-of-the-art speech and audio research with real-time, production-grade SDKs, we test, observe, and enable Voice AI systems to work in any environment. Our software is used by fast-growing Voice AI
companies across Europe and the United States whose products require reliable performance at scale: call center agents, voice agents, telephony apps, and enterprise voice assistants. We believe voice will become the main interface for technology and ai-coustics is building the foundational infrastructure to make audio input reliable, measurable, and easy to deploy.

Tasks

Infrastructure & Device Management

• Manage and maintain devices across Linux, macOS, and local GPU servers
• Administer Google Workspace, Apple Business Manager, and MDM (Jamf)
• Maintain local network infrastructure (Ubiquiti) and handle domain/DNS management
• Manage Synology NAS systems for internal storage needs

Internal IT Support

• Provide first-line technical support for the team (access management, permissions, hardware setup)
• Run technical onboarding and offboarding for new and departing team members
• Maintain documentation for IT processes and systems

Automation & Tooling

• Build and maintain internal process automations using n8n, Zapier, Python, or Bash
• Support the development of AI-powered customer support workflows (Slack, Discord, Pylon)
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through scripting and automation

Compliance & Security

• Support SOC2 and ISO27001 compliance efforts
• Help maintain security policies and access controls
• Assist with security tooling and monitoring

Requirements

• Practical experience with Linux and/or macOS system administration
• Familiarity with networking basics (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls)
• Some experience with scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Comfortable working with Google Workspace or similar productivity suites
• Strong problem-solving skills and a systematic approach to troubleshooting
• Good communication skills in English (German is a plus)
• Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin
