Task : Investigate digital methods based on machine learning and computer vision for the sensory detection of material properties and the application behavior of building materials—at a focus on concrete—and develop methods for the automated control of these properties. The junior professorship aims to contribute significantly to the development and practical implementation of the digital construction site, requiring both experimental investigations and AI‑based analyses.
Applicants are expected to have an outstanding doctorate, research experience in at least one of the following areas or related fields, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines. The ability to independently initiate and lead basic or applied research projects is desirable. Participation in academic self‑administration is also expected.
The appointed person represents the subject area in the faculty's German‑ and English‑language degree programmes and in other degree programmes in which the faculty is involved.
We are looking for a personality who has a proven track record of promising scientific publications and/or comparable achievements with international visibility, or who shows the potential to do so.
For a qualitative assessment of your academic accomplishments, we kindly ask you to submit a short description of your three most important scientific achievements, which should be no longer than one page. Conceivable successes are, for example, those in the fields of research, teaching, science and society, knowledge and technology transfer, inventions and patents, software development or spin‑offs.
