Key Account Manager (BMW)

As Key Account Manager (BMW) , you will be responsible for managing and expanding our strategic business relationship with BMW Group. You will act as the primary commercial contact, driving growth opportunities, managing ongoing projects, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings a strong commercial acumen, technical understanding of interior systems, and an established network within BMW’s purchasing and engineering organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary interface between the company and purchasing, engineering, quality, and logistics teams.
  • Manage existing business and drive new project acquisition in line with the company strategy and BMW’s future platforms.
  • Lead commercial negotiations , including pricing, cost breakdowns, and contract terms.
  • Identify new business opportunities within BMW Group, including product diversification and new technology introductions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, program management, quality, logistics) to ensure flawless project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor project profitability, sales forecasts, and key financial metrics.
  • Stay informed on BMW’s product roadmaps, purchasing strategies, and technology trends to position the company as a preferred supplier.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field .
  • Minimum 4–8 years of experience in automotive key account management or sales, preferably with Tier-1 suppliers.
  • Established network and working relationships within BMW Group (Purchasing, Development, or Program Management).
  • Proven track record in managing complex OEM accounts and leading commercial negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of automotive interior components (e.g. decorative elements).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
  • High degree of self-motivation, customer focus, and ability to work independently.
