Kubernetes Platform Engineer (Gardener / OpenStack) (f/m/d) SAP Dresden

We are hiring in Dresden: 2x Kubernetes Platform Engineer (Gardener / OpenStack) (f/m/d) at SAP.

Our team operates and continuously improves a large-scale Kubernetes as a Service platform on OpenStack using Gardener. We are looking for engineers who enjoy hands‑on production operations, automation, reliability engineering, and solving real platform problems end to end.

What you can expect:

• Operating Kubernetes platforms in production
• Cluster provisioning, upgrades, scaling, patching, and decommissioning
• Automation with GitOps, ArgoCD, Terraform, and similar tooling
• Troubleshooting across Linux, networking, storage, compute, and Kubernetes control plane layers
• Working in an international engineering team across multiple time zones
• Contributing to operational excellence, incident response, and continuous improvement

What we are looking for:

• Strong hands‑on Kubernetes operations experience
• Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with automation and infrastructure as code
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals such as DNS, routing, load balancing, and CNI basics
• Structured, reliable, ownership‑driven engineers who stay calm under pressure
