With a strong commitment to accelerating the energy transition, they are seeking an experienced Land Acquisition Manager to support the origination and early‑stage development of new project sites.
Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and driven Land Acquisition Manager to identify, secure, and negotiate land opportunities for renewable energy projects throughout Germany. This remote‑based role offers significant autonomy and requires excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess suitable land parcels for renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and energy storage.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, agents, and local stakeholders.
- Lead negotiations for land lease, purchase, and option agreements, ensuring commercially sound outcomes.
- Conduct preliminary site assessments, including zoning, planning constraints, environmental considerations, and grid proximity.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including project development, engineering, and legal, to support due diligence and feasibility analyses.
- Represent the company in meetings with landowners, community representatives, and local authorities.
- Maintain accurate records of landowner engagement, agreements, and project pipeline status.
- Monitor regional planning developments and market trends to identify new site opportunities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of land acquisition processes and strategy.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable experience in land acquisition within renewable energy, real estate, or infrastructure sectors in Germany.
- Strong negotiation abilities and proven success in securing land agreements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and long‑term relationships with landowners.
- Good understanding of German planning processes and land‑use regulations.
- Highly organised, self‑motivated, and comfortable working remotely with regular travel.
- Fluent in German and proficient in English.
