Your mission with us

For our new venture within the FUTRUE Group, we are immediately seeking aLead Engineer – BCI Chip Design & Connectivity (m/f/d) to develop the leading generation of brain‑computer interfaces with us by 2030, redefining the boundaries of medicine.

Your tasks

You will lead the development of the implantable chip – a central component of our brain‑computer interface.

Design a novel implantable chip that processes a high number of neural signals in real‑time – while adhering to strict energy and thermal budgets.
Develop a hermetically sealed encapsulation for our chip that enables safe, long‑term implantation in the brain.
Identify suitable wireless high‑bandwidth interfaces for lag‑free data transmission between the implant and the patient's digital environment.
Build your team of talented engineers with us to support you in the design and development of the chip.
Coordinate the interfaces with our development partners and internal FUTRUE teams and manage the development timeline and budget.

Requirements

You are passionate about shaping the next major innovation in the health‑tech sector in an environment with fast decision‑making processes.
You have a proven track record of leading complex development projects in the hardware‑related field.
You have a strong technical understanding of semiconductor technologies, low‑power chips, and the processing of neural data.
You have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, Neuroscience, or a comparable field.
You have a strong drive, the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with new subject areas and can communicate complex issues concisely.
You are business‑fluent in English or German (min. C1).
