Lead Engineering Manager for HVDC & Interconnector Systems (f/m/d)

For an international customer we are looking for a Lead Engineering Manager for HVDC & Interconnector Systems (f/m/d).

Your tasks will be:

• Develop and implement the Engineering Management Plan (EMP) and all supporting systems, ensuring structured and traceable engineering activities
• Coordinate and control engineering processes, including the management of all technical interfaces between converter stations, cable systems, and civil works
• Support the Client in all design-related processes — including design reviews, progress tracking, verification & validation, and compliance assurance with contractual and regulatory standards
• Manage requirements engineering, maintaining a complete, traceable, and up-to-date record of all project, environmental, and regulatory requirements
• Conduct value engineering to optimize lifecycle performance, cost-effectiveness, and reliability of the entire system
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between all Client teams and stakeholders, including the Owner’s Engineer, FIDIC Engineer, and other supporting consultants or contractors
• Ensure timely and compliant design documentation, supporting the permit application and regulatory approval processes as defined in the project schedule

Following know-how is required:

• Successful study of electrical Engineering (min. Master Degree of a Technical University)
• Minimum 5 years professional experience of project and engineering management of energy transmission systems (preferred HV DC projects) in a leading position
• Strong capabilities in engineering management aligned with international standards and best practices
• The ability to establish, operate, and manage the project’s Engineering Management System (EMS) on behalf of the Client, ensuring full technical, environmental, and safety compliance throughout the project lifecycle
• International professional experience and experiences with working in international teams
• German and English (min. C1 or comparable)
