Job Description

For our current in-house game project, which is set in a science fiction world with a focus on story and combat, we are looking for a Lead Game Designer (f/m/d) with a good sense of aesthetics, light and composition. Work closely with our art, design, and programming teams to breathe life into our game ideas.

Within the game project you will mainly work with the game engine Unity.

What we are looking for

• You have several years of professional experience as a Game Designer, ideally in a Lead or Senior position
• You already have experience leading design teams as well as managing stakeholders
• You possess strong knowledge of Unity (prototyping; basic scripting skills are a plus)
• You work in a structured way, communicate clearly, and enjoy guiding others
• You have a keen sense for Soulslike-inspired combat systems and their intended player experience
• You understand how movement, exploration, and world design interact to create tension and flow
• You know how to interweave gameplay and story to create emotional impact and immersion
• You have an eye for presentational details that enhance the gameplay experience
• You are skilled in effective conflict management
