Lead Piping Engineer

My client is looking for a lead piping engineer for a chemical waste piping package in Dresden. Key work will be to coordinate with international design offices, BIM team and lead an end-to-end piping process reporting to the project manager - semiconductor experience is majorly preferable.

Right to Work in the EU is essential.

• Working arrangement: Freelance
• Rate: Negotiable (based on experience)
• On site 5 days a week
• Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead piping design and coordination between international work offices.
• Develop and review piping layouts, isometrics, and support details.
• Manage and oversee a team of designers and engineers.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.).
• Conduct design reviews and work with vendors and clients.
• Oversee material specifications, stress analysis, and equipment layouts.
• Use piping design software (AutoCAD, SmartPlant, PDMS, etc.) to model and review systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Experience with Plastic Piping
• 8+ years of experience in piping design and engineering
• Communication skills in both English and German preferable
• Knowledge of piping codes and industry standards
• Semiconductor experience preferable
