Role Overview

Position: Technical Writer – Contract, Remote
Commitment: 10–25 hours/week
Duration: Short to mid-term
Collaborate on content-focused projects with Fortune 500 companies and unicorn startups. Support AI systems by generating and validating high-quality technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review and refine AI-generated technical content for clarity, accuracy, and structure.
• Author new documentation across technical domains, including product specs, API guides, and internal wikis.
• Validate content against real-world standards and enterprise documentation styles.
• Provide feedback on AI output to improve relevance and consistency.
• Collaborate asynchronously with research and platform teams as needed.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience writing or editing technical documentation.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical topics into accessible language.
• Familiarity with structured documentation tools like Markdown, Git, Confluence.
• Detail-oriented with strong editorial judgment and domain fluency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in engineering, product, or technical program management.

Engagement Details

Remote and asynchronous – set your own hours.
$50–100/hour depending on experience and location.
Independent contractor classification.
Payments processed weekly via Stripe Connect.
