Lecturer / Senior Lecturer - Health Sciences (Education Focused) – UNSW, Kensington, Sydney

Employment type : Full‑time (35 hours a week), Duration : Continuing, Remuneration : Level B from $127k, Level C from $155k base (+17% super and leave loading). Work rights : Must hold full rights to work in Australia. No visa sponsorship.

Overview

The School of Health Sciences at UNSW is rapidly expanding to service education agendas based on our four ground‑breaking health professional education programmes: Exercise, Nutrition & Dietetics, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy. This role focuses on educational excellence, supporting students in professionalism, innovation and career development across all programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and design curriculum across the Health Sciences disciplines.
• Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including interprofessional education.
• Lead student development in professionalism and innovation in healthcare.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to enhance the interprofessional educational experience.
• Support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and participate in equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
• Engage in educational research and contribute to continuous improvement of teaching.

Qualifications and Experience

• Registered or accredited health professional in Australia.
• Level B: PhD in a health discipline preferred; significant clinical and educational experience accepted. Broad practice or educational experience in multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to maintaining discipline knowledge and development. Proven teaching and learning design experience.
• Level C (additional): Significant experience in teaching, learning design and interprofessional education. PhD (if not already). Demonstrated teaching excellence and curriculum development, research in education or learning scholarship, high‑impact teaching outcomes.
