Legal Advisor - Temporary job

Our client, a public institution is looking for a Legal Assistant temporarily starting as soon as possible.

The Legal Advisor will provide high-level legal support to the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine. The role involves analysing legal risks, advising on a wide range of legal matters, and drafting and reviewing research-related agreements. The position requires close collaboration with researchers, internal stakeholders, and external legal representatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice across diverse areas including:
• European law
• Research and contract law
• Data protection (GDPR)
• State aid
• Donations
• Animal testing regulations
• Intellectual property
• Conduct legal research to support decision‑making and ensure compliance.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage various types of agreements, particularly those related to research projects and collaborations.
• Identify, assess, and communicate legal risks and implications; develop and propose mitigating solutions.
• Liaise and coordinate with researchers, internal partners, and external lawyers or representatives of collaborating institutions.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Law (Legal Degree)
• Strong ability to analyse complex legal issues and provide structured advice
• Experience or strong interest in research‑related legal fields is an asset
• English: Business fluent (required), French: Good working knowledge
