Legal Counsel (mfd) – IT Contract Law & Compliance

As Legal Counsel at Nagarro you will be part of our global legal team working on challenging IT projects at the interface between law and technology providing targeted internal legal advice to your colleagues in the business and decision-makers. You will take on responsibility in two core areas :

Business Contracting

• Drafting reviewing and negotiating contracts especially IT contracts (software cloud SaaS license agreements service contracts).
• Advising internal stakeholders on legal issues in contract management.
• Lifecycle management of contracts including maintenance and optimization of contract processes.

Compliance

• Monitoring current and future regulatory requirements in the IT sector (e.g. AI Regulation Data Act Cyber Resilience Act DORA NIS2 etc.).
• Developing and implementing compliance measures.
• Raising awareness and training internal teams on relevant legal requirements.

Qualifications

• You have a higher legal education (completed law degree) and have already gained relevant experience in a similar position in IT companies.
• You have in-depth knowledge of contract and IT law and ideally data protection law.
• A completed course as a specialist lawyer or other qualification in the field of IT law is an advantage but not a must.
• You are familiar with the regulatory requirements in the field of IT (data protection cyber security AI regulation) and have experience in compliance management.
• You enjoy working well in a team are structured yet flexible and have a good understanding of the needs of the operational business.
• You can communicate and negotiate well in German and English.
• You are proficient in the common Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word Teams Sharepoint).
• You are willing to travel occasionally within Germany and internationally.
