Role Overview
As a Legal Engineer, you will sit at the intersection of law and technology. Your role is to translate complex legal knowledge into AI-powered workflows using the tool box Libra provides. You’ll work closely with our Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to build, test, and optimize Libra Assistants and automations that mirror real legal reasoning and deliver real impact for our customers.
Unlike traditional legal roles, Legal Engineers at Libra are forward-deployed: you’ll work directly with clients like law firms or corporate legal departments to design solutions that transform how their teams work. This is a perfect role for lawyers who love technology, problem-solving, and building things that scale.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Product and Engineering to design and test AI-powered workflows and Libra Assistants across key legal domains.Partner directly with clients (law firms and corporate legal departments) to understand their use cases, map processes, and configure solutions.Translate legal expertise into structured data, prompts, and workflows that make AI outputs legally robust and useful.Support customer pilots and proof-of-concepts by adapting Libra’s capabilities to real legal documents, templates, and research workflows.Provide feedback to Product and Engineering to improve prompt quality, accuracy, and domain coverage.Create content and learning materials for the Libra Academy, helping users understand best practices for AI-assisted legal work.Act as a bridge between legal teams and AI technology — ensuring everything we build reflects real legal logic and delivers measurable value.
What You Have
A strong legal background (law degree), ideally with experience in private practice or in-house.Curiosity for technology, AI, and how they can transform legal work.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — you enjoy breaking down complex legal processes into logical steps.Excellent communication skills, both with technical teams and legal stakeholders.Comfort working in fast-paced, iterative environments where you experiment, learn, and improve quickly.Proficiency in German and English (both written and spoken).Bonus: prior experience in legal tech, product management, or automation projects.
