Head of Finance & Controlling

Your role

In this key position, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational financial management of our company. You will ensure transparency, stability and compliance and act as a close sparring partner to the management and the specialist departments. At the same time, you will ensure compliance with the AETNA Group's corporate governance and reporting standards.

• Developing and implementing the financial strategy together with the management
• Responsibility for financial planning, budgeting and forecasts
• Further development of reporting and control instruments
• Preparation of meaningful management reports, including KPI analyses and recommendations for action

Controlling

• Conducting target/actual analyses, cost and profitability analyses
• Further development of cost and performance accounting
• Support with business cases, investment and profitability calculations
• Ensuring transparency regarding industrial cost structures
• Responsibility for general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable accounting
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) (IFRS an advantage)
• Ensuring compliance with all tax and legal requirements
• Proper accounting and documentation

Group reporting & governance

• Timely group reporting in accordance with AETNA requirements
• Preparation of deviation and root cause analyses
• Implementation of group-wide risk and governance guidelines

Liquidity, taxes & risk management

• Responsibility for liquidity planning, cash flow management and financing
• Collaboration with banks, tax advisors and auditors
• Management of financial risks as well as credit and credit rating management

Strategic projects and leadership

• Participation in group-wide projects and M&A activities
• Technical and disciplinary management of the finance and controlling team
• Promotion of digitalisation, process optimisation and efficiency improvements

Your profile

• Degree in business administration, finance or similar
• Several years of management experience in an industrial company
• Very good knowledge of HGB, controlling methods and financial processes
• Experience with ERP systems (ideally SAP FI/CO) and BI tools
• Analytical, structured and entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Very good knowledge of German and English, Italian an advantage
