Operational & Strategic Responsibilities

• Strategic planning, management, and continuous optimization of international logistics processes across the entire supply chain
• Organization and monitoring of inbound and outbound goods, warehousing, and national and international transportation processes
• Selection, negotiation, and management of international logistics service providers and freight forwarders, including SLA monitoring
• Ensuring adherence to delivery schedules, cost budgets, and quality standards
• Development and implementation of cost-reduction and efficiency-enhancing measures within logistics
• Creation, analysis, and continuous improvement of logistics KPIs (e.g. lead times, freight costs, return rates)
• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, particularly in the areas of hazardous goods, transportation law, and export regulations
• Coordination of international shipments in compliance with customs and import regulations for target regions (Southern Europe, Middle East, Asia) using customs systems such as ATLAS

Export & Customs Management

• Preparation, review, and administration of all required customs and export documents (e.g. commercial invoices, certificates of origin, preference certificates)
• Ensuring compliance with export control regulations, including embargo and dual-use requirements
• Communication and negotiation with customs authorities, logistics service providers, and international partners
• Maintenance and regular updating of customs and export databases (e.g. tariff codes, preference agreements)
• Advising internal departments on export-related topics such as customs procedures, Incoterms, and delivery terms
• Monitoring compliance with international trade and customs regulations
• Support during internal audits related to customs and export control
• Training and continuous development of employees on customs- and export-related topics

Your Skillset - As Strong As Our Protein

• Completed degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in international logistics management, preferably in B2B export environments
• Strong knowledge of transport logistics (road, sea, air) and warehouse management
• In-depth knowledge of international customs and export regulations, particularly for Southern Europe, the Middle East, and Asia
• Experience working with customs systems (e.g. ATLAS) and export software
• Solid understanding of Incoterms, customs tariff codes, and international trade agreements
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MS Office, especially Excel
• Analytical mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a structured way of working
• Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and intercultural competence
• Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus
