About the Role

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep customers continually accessing innovation. We tackle supply‑chain challenges and need talent to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You will work with people across AWS to deliver safety and security standards while providing scalable capacity at lowest cost.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review the Data Center inventory, inbound shipments, and ongoing demand to maintain proper stock levels for build and repair activities.
  • Plan logistics to optimize part flow, track inventory location, movement, age, and turns.
  • Collaborate with Data Center Operations Technicians and Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately.
  • Interface with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts and handle vendor RMAs and replacements.
  • Enter data and resolve questions from peer organizations.
  • Work with software development teams to contribute to continuous process improvements for high availability and low cost.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date metrics dashboards and create reports for internal and external suppliers and management.
  • Assemble, address, stamp, and arrange shipment of merchandise and materials.
  • Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick‑ups to and from production locations.
  • Handle incoming shipments, unpack boxes, and verify contents.
  • Keep precise records of all commodities coming in and going out.
  • Ensure safety and adherence to strict standards; maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces.
  • Perform frequent lifting of materials, manage shelving and pallet locations, and move parts within site‑specific areas.

Additional Information

This is a full‑time position (40 hours/week). The Logistics Specialist will travel to multiple sites as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • Legal requirement: must be a national of an EU member state.
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Knowledge of reverse logistics processes.
  • Experience handling vendor relationships preferred.
  • Exposure to inventory control and inventory‑management systems.
