Your Opportunity, Your Team
- The Maintenance Technician role is responsible for performing routine tasks and repairs throughout the fulfillment center, including maintenance of conveyors, powered industrial trucks (PIT) equipment, and general building upkeep. This position requires a foundational knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Additionally, candidates should be familiar with AC/DC electrical systems and possess the ability to operate a voltmeter.
Where You'll Work
- This role is onsite and will require you to work from our QVC Ontario Fulfillment Center daily. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
What You'll Do
- Building Maintenance – Perform and facilitate general facility repairs such as electrical, lighting, HVAC, & conveyor systems.
- Equipment Maintenance – Perform planned and unplanned repairs, and preventative maintenance to production-related equipment, Powered Industrial Trucks, and building equipment. Identify and correct safety hazards and potential maintenance issues before they become critical.
- Conveyor, Automation, and Sorter Systems – Support and perform planned and unplanned repairs and preventative maintenance to maintain operation of conveyors and sorter equipment. Help with conveyor, automation and sortation system repairs.
- Electrical – Have a fundamental understanding of AC and DC systems and how to use a voltage meter. Follow lock out/tag out policy.
- System Installation, Design, Construction and Repair – Assist team leaders and contractors to perform installations of new or replacement equipment.
- Record Keeping – Input and maintain records using CMMS systems to ensure accuracy of time, parts, and repair data. Read technical manuals and document changes.
What You'll Bring
- Read and comprehend technical manuals. · Familiarity with blueprints, and engineering specifications
- High School graduate or equivalent; Industrial mechanic trade school courses or certification (i.e., electrical, controls, plumbing, welding) or equivalent military technical training.
- 1 year or more experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
- 1year or more experience with conveyor, automation and sortation system repair
- Occasionally be on call or work overtime.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Prefer working knowledge of voltage meter and AC/DC.
- Can repeatedly lift 50 pounds.
