For a scaling SaaS business that's a leader in national infrastructure planning software, we're looking for a strategic Management Assistant and PMO Lead to join our team. This pivotal role is less about managing day-to-day development tasks and more about shaping the future of our organisation and our long-term goals.
You will be the central nervous system for how we plan and deliver at a company-wide level. This isn't just about managing projects; it's about designing and implementing the processes that keep us on track towards strategic objectives. If you're passionate about orchestrating company-wide initiatives, driving efficient governance, and providing executive-level insights, this opportunity is for you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and Implementing PMO Frameworks: Establish and refine scalable project and programme delivery processes, with a focus on company-wide efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.
- Driving Strategic Programmes: Lead and manage multiple, high-impact strategic software development programmes from initial feasibility studies to final delivery, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Orchestrating Planning & Reporting: Organise and facilitate key strategic meetings, including quarterly planning sessions and prioritisation meetings with the CEO, senior leadership, and product leads.
- Providing Executive-Level Insight: Develop and deliver insightful reports and dashboards for the CEO and leadership team on project health, portfolio governance, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Championing the Product Mindset: Act as the crucial link between engineering, product, sales, and marketing, ensuring all teams operate with a shared product company mindset and strategic vision.
- Navigating the Journey: Proactively monitor progress against company goals, anticipate organisational roadblocks, and skillfully adjust strategic plans to keep initiatives on an optimal trajectory.
- Leading with a Holistic View: Expertly manage risks and issues at a programme level, ensuring all initiatives support overarching business processes and long-term company goals.
- Fostering Continuous Improvement: Leverage lessons learned from completed programmes to refine our delivery methodologies and enhance our organisational efficiency.
What You Bring
- Strategic Leadership Experience: A strong track record in a PMO or strategic programme leadership capacity, with a focus on organisational-level planning and governance within a scaling software company.
- Strategic Framework Acumen: In-depth understanding and practical experience with strategic frameworks and processes such as OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) , quarterly planning, and portfolio prioritisation.
- Foundational Knowledge: A degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field.
- Agile Expertise: A deep understanding of agile principles and software development lifecycles (SDLC), with experience in scaling agile methodologies.
- Tooling Proficiency: Hands-on experience with leading project management platforms like Jira, Confluence, Trello, or Asana, used for organisational tracking and reporting.
- Exceptional Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
- Organisational Prowess: Exceptional ability to manage complex information, maintain meticulous attention to detail, and oversee multiple programmes simultaneously.
- Bilingual Capability: Fluency in both German and English is essential for effective communication across diverse contexts.
Nice to Have
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Certified ScrumMaster, or similar).
- Previous experience establishing or running a PMO in a high-growth company.
